Two big days filled with classes, seminars, demonstrations, contests door prizes & much more!
The 23rd annual Midwest Scroll Saw and Woodworking Trade Show will be held on August 5 and 6 at the Dubuque County Fairgrounds in Iowa. This indoor and air-conditioned event will run 9am to 5pm Friday and 9am to 3:30pm Saturday, providing a unique opportunity to learn about scroll sawing, intarsia, wood turning, woodcarving, pyrography, and much more!
The show entrance fee is $10 each day or $15 for both days. If accompanied by an adult, children under 16 are free. Each paid entry includes a ticket for prize drawings. Grand prizes will be given away at 4:30pm on Friday and 3:30pm on Saturday. Note: You must be present to win. A scroll saw contest will take place on Saturday, with judging starting at 10am. Contest entries can be submitted Friday August 5 from 9am to 4pm and Saturday August 6 from 9am to 10am. The contest fee is $5 per entry; scrollers age 16 and under can submit as many entries as they want for free. Note: Contest fees must be submitted with entries. Visit the event’s website for a full list of classes and seminars scheduled throughout the event. Speciality booths will be present to teach topics ranging from scrolling to pen turning. One of the booths, The Scroll Saw Corral, will be run by volunteers from the Veterans Freedom Center in Dubuque to teach others about scroll sawing, wood turning and the amazing work being done at the Veterans Freedom Center. A Christmas ornament fundraiser will take place at the show with 100% of the proceeds going to the Veterans Freedom Center. Vendors will also be present at the event selling scroll saws, scroll saw and band saw blades, patterns, sanders, books, magazines, lumber, tools, and supplies for woodworking enthusiasts of all kinds.
